It has an extremely good feature i.e. it lifts the tonearm- magnetically and stop rotating at the end of the record so that it will not produce that irritating clicking noise and prevent the wear of that precious stylus. This is extremely useful if you have a tendency to fall to sleep or attend to other things while listening.
Kept in a dry spare room for more than 15 years after years of low usage with the rubber belt removed so everything is as new.
Just been tested working with extremely user friendly 33/45 RPM switch so that you can still play your precious singles with ease. Not a feature with so many high quality turntables.
Extremely well made and quite heavy for its size using precision cast platter and highly damped Ariston's patented Q-Board plinth, which is a high quality sandwiched wood.
The deck came supplied with a Japanese manufactured, straight tone arm suitable for cartridges ranging from 4-12g and equipped with a calibrated anti-skate dial.
It has an extremely high quality tonearm (Japanese and) fitted with a quality Danish/Swedish Ortofon 1OMB Cartridge with Eliptical OM10 Stylus. The cartridge can be easily upgraded to OM20 or 30 by just a swap of the stylus. Of course, you could also easily change to any cartridge of your choice with its standard fittings.
Due to its high quality design and build it was guaranteed for 2 years when new.
Substantially better build and more reliable than a Dual 505/2 and has a superior arm with more substantial platter.
