Pair TWO TONE Mid Century SCROLL WALL SCONCE TAPER CANDLE HOLDERS Retro Vintage Atomic
These look fabulous either side of a wall clock (especially starburst), a mirror or a painting.
They comprise of metal in matte and shiny gold finishes. The central plate is a silver colour.
Nice scrolls with a hint of the atomic in the stars.
They accommodate tapered candles and there are loops on the reverse side for easy hanging.
Height: 46cm. Width: 19cm.
Excellent vintage condition. There is a patch on one of the holders which has lost its plating but this can be spun around to hide it (pics 2 and 3 are the same sconce). There is also some lost plating under one of the drip plates but this can not been seen when the item is hung. Small scratches on one of the stars; again, can't notice when hung.
Funky and fab Mid-century decor.
I don't like to brandish the word 'rare' indiscriminately, as it devalues the truly rare so let's just say they are 'not easily found'.
I had another similar pair of these and sold them to the art department of the set of "Predestination" staring Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke, currently being filmed at Docklands Studios.
Now, are you really going to let these go? Hmm? :)
